Candle Scent Names

What is The Candle Scent Names?

Candle scent names are just that. They are the names of the scents in the candles you buy. There are so many ways that people go about this. Some companies name their scents exactly as they are, like Lavender or Lemon Basil. Other companies like to come up with different names for their scents that add a little bit of flare to the candle product. Marble Scents is a great example of this; we name our scents in order to invoke memories and feelings, ie. Rainy Day.

Different Options for Candle Scent Names

There are two popular options for candle scents. Now bare with me because this is going to go on a kind of tangent to explain...

These different options for candle scent names are fragrance oils and essential oils. While essential oils are making their huge societal debut, they aren't great at offering a huge a variety of 'fun' options. Since essential oils are natural, you can only get them from natural substances in which you can extract the oil. These are going to be your more natural candle scent names like lavender, lemon oil, or chamomile. Candles with essential oils are typically named for what essential oil is put in them. While this is not always the case, most people looking for an essential oil candle are looking specifically for something very natural and therefore will be drawn to the more natural candle scent names.

Fragrance oils offer a much larger variety of scents and are widely used in candle brands. Most candle brands use them because of that option to make their candles stand out with different, more unique scents than the essential oils offer.

Essential oils are a good option if you are looking for a natural scented option, however, because of their nature, they often have a much smaller hot throw than the fragrance oils. This means that it can be difficult to find a candle with essential oils that fills the room with the scent you choose.

Let's Talk Fun Candle Scent Names

Candle scent names can be anything you can dream up. It can be a mystical creature, a feeling to create, a made up fruit, and everything beyond. While most people like to know at least a direction for what to expect when they stick their nose in a candle, you don't need to make that your candle's primary scent name.

Again, Marble Scents is a great example of this. We want to invoke those feelings and memories, so we call our candles things like Honeymoon Phase and Staycation. We put a general name of what is in the scent under out candle scent names so that people know what to expect but we want to have that flare to differentiate our candles.
